It’s no longer surprising that streamers and content creators can make absurd amounts of money, but how quickly they are able to do it is still surprising. Those like Dream are still able to surprise, as the Minecraft streamer and content creator recently stated that he had made over a million dollars in a single month from YouTube’s AdSense program.
In a clip shared by Dexerto on Twitter, Dream is a guest on Colin and Samir’s Creator podcast, when one of the hosts asks him what was the most impressive amount he made in a single month. Dream responds, “I think it was over a million dollars. The host asks, “In one month?” and Dream answers simply “Yes.”
Dream then goes on to elaborate a little further, saying “Obviously I was like ‘That’s absurd.’ To be able to play Minecraft and make Minecraft videos and get a check in the mail that is a million dollars like ‘Wow, that is just incredible.'” He then goes on to state that it wasn’t a common occurrence, but something that did happen.
Dream has been making content pretty regularly since 2019 in his trademark mask, doing a public face reveal earlier this year. With over 31 million subscribers on YouTube, it should come as no surprise that the YouTuber is able to make that much in ads, as his most recent video from a month ago has over 9.3 million views. Spread out across multiple videos in a month, a million dollars seems feasible.
It seems like Dream might be taking a break from content creation besides this guest appearance, but it seems he probably has enough to take a pretty decent vacation.
