Dying Light 2 Stay Human has just revealed some of their plans for new fall and winter updates, all of which will be “part of regular game updates, available to all Dying Light 2 Stay Human owners”, according to a new post from the official Twitter feed. The new content will include firearms, new missions, tower raid, and more.

Developed and published by Techland, Dying Light 2 Stay Human originally launched last year and is available now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Here’s the full sneak peek image from today’s Twitter post:

Dying Light 2 2023 Updates

Techland has recently stirred up some division over the dreaded Dying Light points, and recently had to issue a detailed response for damage control. Today’s sneak peek closely follows that, possibly in further hopes of earning more goodwill.

The upcoming events and crossovers are pretty neat though, including Vampire: The Masquerade, which only recently announced the follow-up Bloodlines 2 for 2024. And although seasonal events for Halloween and the Holidays are fairly obligatory, it’s nice to see the devs have something special in mind for the game’s second anniversary.

Naturally, any highlight of an update will be tangible new content, so fans should be pleased with the fresh co-op missions, board quests and the like.

But it’s the firearms that truly have fans abuzz, since the majority of Dying Light 2 is played with melee weapons. This is meant to encourage the parkour system, so that players are more vulnerable and must pay attention to mobility, as opposed to mowing down swarms like World War Z.

Hopefully, the gameplay loop will remain balanced with the introduction of new firearms, because they do still shake up the meta with interesting run opportunities.
