The PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been met with criticism due to significant performance issues during its launch. Multiple sources and players have reported considerable framerate drops in open areas and large battles. Those experiencing these issues can try lowering their settings, restarting the game, updating GPU drivers, and ensuring their systems meet the game’s minimum requirements.
In response to these concerns, EA issued an apology on Twitter, acknowledging the problems players have been facing:
“We are aware that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor isn’t performing to our standards for a percentage of our PC players, in particular those with high-end machines or certain specific configurations.”
EA highlighted a few examples of configurations causing issues, such as cutting-edge multi-threaded chipsets designed for Windows 11 running on Windows 10 and high-end GPUs paired with lower-performing CPUs experiencing unexpected frame loss. The company reassured players that it is working diligently to address these problems.
“While there is no single, comprehensive solution for PC performance, the team has been working on fixes we believe will improve performance across a spectrum of configurations,” the statement continued.
EA emphasized its commitment to resolving these issues promptly, but also noted that each patch requires extensive testing to prevent introducing new problems. The company expressed its appreciation for players’ understanding and apologized for the inconvenience caused by these performance issues.
As EA continues to monitor performance across all platforms, updates on the progress and timing of patches will be shared with players as soon as they become available. It is hoped that these bugs will be resolved soon, allowing players to enjoy Star Wars Jedi: Survivor without any further disruptions.
