Elden Ring, the action role-playing game and The Game Awards’ 2022 Game of the Year developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, has just revealed a new expansion to be released soon.
The Elden Ring social channel recently surprised its fans with a new post that teased the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree downloadable content. The post contains an image showing a blonde figure wearing a white dress, who could be Miquella, mounted on Torrent and staring at what appears to be a Haligtree wrapped around the Erdtree. In addition to this, Bandai Namco provided a remark that said, “Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together. An upcoming expansion for Elden Ring, ‘Shadow of the Erdtree,’ is currently in development. We hope you look forward to new adventures in the Lands Between.”
Elden Ring has already surpassed its previous accomplishments, as seen by the recent announcement that the game has sold 20 million copies throughout the globe since it was first made available a year ago. It is fair to infer that the upcoming DLC serves as a kind of gratitude for the game’s active players. Furthermore, it may be intended to keep players who have beaten the game engaged and encourage them to continue playing Elden Ring.
Bandai Namco made it clear that the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is still under development, so the release of trailers and other details may take some time.
