Epic Games recently announced a new challenge event for Fortnite Battle Royale named Lantern Trials. Lantern Trials are part of the Lantern Fest 2024 celebration, this event allows players to earn special in-game rewards by showcasing their skills in the game’s Storm.

The Lantern Trials challenge is all about surviving Storm circles. Players need to sign up for the event on the official Lantern Trials website using their Epic Games account to take part. After registering, Fortnite will monitor any progress in standard Battle Royale or Zero Build modes. This covers Solo, Duos, Trios, Squads, and even Ranked variations of the game modes.

Players will receive a badge on the Lantern Trials website for every five Storm circles that survive, linked to exclusive in-game rewards. You can get up to 11 pages, so that’s basically 55 storms that survived. Here are the rewards:

  • 1 Badge: Disco Baller Spray
  •  6 Badges: Moonlit Peace Wrap
  •  11 Badges: The Nightblade Pickaxe

The Lantern Trials event is happening now and will continue until April 7, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET. Players can earn special cosmetic items for their Fortnite inventory during this time. It’s worth mentioning that it might take up to an hour for the Lantern Trials website to show the most recent player statistics.

If you look at our Fortnite wiki for those items, you’ll see that there is good reason to participate in these trials. Surviving a storm circle doesn’t take much, especially at the very beginning. I have done this quickly by hiding in bushes and buildings. Yes, I’m a camper, but if your only objective is to survive a storm circle quickly, there’s no point in actively hunting enemies.

We’d say sign up as soon as possible to earn some easy rewards and loot. It’s also an easy way to participate in the Lantern Fest of 2024.
