ATLUS recently unveiled a gameplay trailer for the Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection, a highly-anticipated dungeon RPG collection that includes remastered versions of Etrian Odyssey HD, Etrian Odyssey II HD, and Etrian Odyssey III HD. The trailer highlights the gameplay on both Switch and PC platforms, offering glimpses of party customization, mapmaking, exploration, and improved graphics.
The Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection offers an immersive RPG experience with three timeless adventures. Players can explore a vast, labyrinthian forest on the edge of a peaceful village in Etrian Odyssey HD, journey to a floating castle in the sky in Etrian Odyssey II HD, and uncover an oceanic paradise filled with rumors of a drowned city in Etrian Odyssey III HD.
The gameplay trailer emphasizes the importance of building customized parties for exploration and engaging in tactical combat. Players take on the role of a guild leader, guiding adventurers in search of rare treasures and secrets within the depths of a sprawling labyrinth. The collection also provides easy access to the Monstrous Codex, quest log, and skill tree, allowing players to maximize their adventuring experience by optimizing their party and selecting character classes that suit their playstyle.
One of the key features showcased in the trailer is the new auto-mapping feature, available on both Nintendo Switch and PC. The feature encourages players to mark their maps and unearth hidden treasures and truths, while warning them of the labyrinth’s dangers and challenges.
