NVIDIA released a lot of exclusive new gameplay footage for CES 2023, selling their groundbreaking AI-driven DLSS 3 technology, which has the potential to exponentially improve frame rates. A list of games that will support DLSS 3 was included in today’s event. You can review the full video on NVIDIA’s official YouTube channel here:

Witchfire

Developed by Polish indie team The Astronauts, Witchfire promises to deliver an accessible FPS roguelite. Today’s event revealed all-new gameplay, and announced that Witchfire would feature DLSS 3 support.

Although it hardly looks to revolutionize the dark fantasy genre, featuring familiar magic and enemies, the environments and effects look stunning. It’ll be best to reserve judgment until the narrative reveals a bit more, which is The Astronauts’ greatest strength. Witchfire launches later this year.

The Day Before

This zombie MMO is expected to launch on March 1st, 2023, for PC, Xbox and PlayStation. CES 2023 revealed new gameplay ahead of developer Fntastic’s own “huge premiere” and update. Unfortunately, CES’ new footage didn’t reveal anything more than taking out a few more zombies. Like most of today’s CES announcements, the key update was DLSS 3 support.

Warhaven

Warhaven revealed more gameplay, including side-by-side comparisons for the DLSS 3 upgrade. The game was developed by NEXON, who generally thrive on low budget games, which are alternately uninspired or cozy fun.

Warhaven’s team-based combat sounds intriguing, and may push it into the latter, though it hardly calls for DLSS 3’s superpowered effects. Warhaven’s launch is expected to be “coming soon” according to today’s new footage.

Throne and Liberty

A traditional but ambitious MMORPG, Throne and Liberty released lots of new gameplay today, and some well-staged cinematics. Like Witchfire, its art design is gorgeous, while it lives or dies by the lore. But the MMORPG scene is a very different animal. It’ll be nice to see the genre lifted by DLSS 3, as graphics tend to be problematic in that genre. Throne and Liberty will launch sometime this year.

Atomic Heart

One of the most wildly creative and promising games in any genre, Atomic Heart finally delivered on its tease from last Sunday. Some incredible new action and environments were revealed, fleshing out its world with a combination of blockbuster zeal and independent edge. This bloody action RPG is due to release on February 21st, 2023.
