Nintendo Direct just went live to showcase all the new titles that will be available on Nintendo Switch as well as a peek at the exciting content these titles have to offer.
The February 2023 Nintendo Direct livestream features 40 minutes of information mostly focused on Nintendo Switch Games launching in the first half of 2023. Some details on new expansions for existing games were also revealed. You can watch the footage of the latest Nintendo Direct livestream here:

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – May 12th
One of the most anticipated parts of the Nintendo Direct February 2023 is a preview of the upcoming Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The presentation also revealed that in addition to the standard version, a collector’s edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will also be available on the launch day.
Splatoon 3: Expansion Pass – February 8th
The Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass will bring two waves of content to the game. For the 1st Wave, players will be able to relive a functional version of Inkopolis from the original Splatoon game. Meanwhile, the 2nd Wave will bring Side Order, an all-new single-player campaign.
Game Boy and Game Boy Advance Games – February 8th
Game Boy games arrive on Nintendo Switch Online, and for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members, Game Boy Advance games as well. This includes classic games such as Tetris, Super Mario Land 2 – 6 Golden Coins, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, and more.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp – April 21st
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is a strategy game where players will join characters Andy, Max, Sami, and more in two full story campaigns, each one filled with colorful turn-based tactical action and go head-to-head in local and online play.
Pikmin 4 – July 21st
Pikmin 4 is an upcoming real-time strategy video game developed and published by Nintendo where players will chart a mysterious planet with curious plantlike Pikmin that come in different types.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass DLC – February 15th
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass DLC will be introducing Volume 3, which includes the new hero and refined Lapidarist, Masha. The Expansion Pass will also bring new kinds of Challenge Battles with rogue-like elements. Volume 4 was also announced to arrive later this year.
Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass Wave 2 – February 8th
New Emblems are set to arrive in Fire Emblem Engage with the upcoming Expansion Pass DLC. These new Emblems include Hector, Emblem of Strength, Soren, Emblem of Acumen, Camilla, Emblem of Revelation, as well as Chrom and Robin, Emblem of Bonds, and Veronica Emblem of Heroes. A new story, called Fell Xenologue, will be also unlocked for Wave 4.
Samba de Amigo: Party Central – Summer 2023
Sega‘s classic rhythm game, Samba de Amigo, has been revived for the Nintendo Switch. Samba de Amigo: Party Central boasts even groovier bops and exciting features that will allow players to compete with one another online.
Fashion Dreamer – 2023
XSEED Games‘ Fashion Dreamer is an upcoming dress-up game, perfect for those who dream to experience the life of a fashion designer and influencer. In this game, players will mix and match their favorite outfits to create a new stylish look and connect online with friends to grow their brand.
Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC – March 6th
Motion Twin‘s rouge-lite action-platformer, Dead Cells, collaborates with Castlevania for an upcoming crossover DLC. With Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania, players will venture into the castle’s halls and outskirts alongside Richter Belmont and Alucard, leading up to a showdown with death and Dracula himself.
Disney Illusion Island – July 28th
In the upcoming co-op 2D platformer adventure, Disney Illusion Island, players will join Mickey & friends in exploring a mysterious island.
TRON: Identity – April 2023
TRON: Identity by Bithell Games is set to launch for the Nintendo Switch, offering an intriguing puzzle-adventure narrative gameplay. In this game, players’ decision and the alliance they forge will impact their journey in a perilous world.
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective – Summer 2023
Capcom is set to release the remake of the time-bending murder mystery game, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, for the Nintendo Switch. In this game, players will take on the role of a ghost to possess and control objects.
Metroid Prime Remastered – February 8th
The original Metroid Prime has been remastered for Nintendo Switch. In this game, players will explore Tallon IV from the perspective of Samus Aran & choose from new dual-stick controls, or more traditional ones.
Octopath Traveler II – February 24th
Square Enix‘s Octopath Traveler II will bring eight new stories where players must decide the path they will take first, their allies, and where their journey will lead them in this pixel RPG world.
Harmony: The Fall of Reverie – June 2023
Don’t Nod‘s Harmony: The Fall of Reverie is a narrative adventure game where players will harness their divine gift of clairvoyance to travel between worlds, see the future, and decide humanity’s fate.
Other notable mentions include Omega Strikers, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, and Professor Layton, among others.
