The Exogate Initiative, a game that lets players build and manage mankind’s first mission across the universe, entered Early Access on April 18th, 2023. The developers have now unveiled their roadmap, detailing the game’s upcoming features and improvements.
Upon launch, Exogate Initiative offered a fully playable experience, featuring over 20 hours of gameplay, base invasions, five character classes (Scientist, Soldier, Medic, Engineer, and Scholar), and 166 microstories to uncover. Additionally, the game is currently available in English, French, and German.
The developers have several features in active development, including ongoing performance and bug fixes, a mission editor for creating custom microstories, world threat contacts, and upgraded room mechanics and customization. While the developers aim to release these features within the next few months, they cannot confirm exact dates due to the nature of game development.

The future plan for Exogate Initiative includes the introduction of Alien Gaters and Contacts, allowing players to recruit aliens to their teams and communicate with them during stories. Additional features include expansive aliens and 4X gameplay, a Diplomat Gater class for galactic diplomacy, increased Gater customization, and new invaders for base invasions. However, these features are currently too far in development to provide detailed information.
In response to the game’s launch, the developers expressed their gratitude, stating, “Thank you to everyone who took a step through the Exogate today, those who will continue to over the coming weeks, as well as to all of you who wishlisted as you wait to see how development goes—trust us, we understand.” The roadmap is designed to offer the community a glimpse of the exciting developments on the horizon for the Exogate Initiative.
