Fall Guys has officially confirmed that the leaked Invincible collaboration will roll out this week on January 5th, 2023. The cosmetics will include Invincible, Omni-Man and Atom Eve. Today’s tweet included a full look at the upcoming outfits:

Fall Guys continues their ongoing parade of fascinating crossovers by adding key characters from the tremendously bloody and dramatic Invincible. The update will closely follow last week’s collaboration with Disney’s joyous and family friendly Encanto, which creates a very amusing level of contrast.

There’s no denying the wide variety of IP crossovers, which undoubtedly entices new fans, and is perhaps only rivaled by Fortnite’s countless collaborations. In fact, many fans of Invincible now expect the characters to show up in Fortnite soon, too. Fortnite most recently added a new Crew Pack for this month, featuring a Gildhart bundle, as well as a new Guardian Shield today in Battle Royale.

Invincible has received almost unanimous critical acclaim for its compelling twists on the omnipresent superhero genre, character construction, and performances. The cast is absolutely brimming with stars, and those who hadn’t previously performed any voice acting leapt right into it very gracefully.

The Mortal Kombat level of violence also helps distinguish Invincible, and if superhero fans are shocked, they need to remind themselves that The Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman made the comic book. Of course, Fall Guys is a cute and cozy game, despite its competitive nature. But it seems to thrive on unexpected collaborations.

The crossover outfits themselves look fine enough. They’re relatively simple, thanks to the source material, so they don’t quite compare to the finer demands of the Encanto collaboration. But smaller details like Invincible’s fingertips and Atom Eve’s logo are nice. Fans of the show should be pleased.

Despite all of these collaborations, there’s rarely actual content involved, aside from some cosmetics in the shop. It’d be nice to see some LTMs inspired by all these crossovers, since there’s enormous potential with each IP.
