Today, during this year’s edition of Indie Live Expo, developer nekogameteacher and publisher Kodansha Games announced that their upcoming strategic 2v2 tag-team battle action FAMILY BATTLE Tag Arena will enter Early Access on August 6th, 2022.
After the announcement, the event’s official English Twitter profile also revealed through a post that the game’s Steam Store page debuted and is available worldwide.
A new trailer for the title was also revealed, showcasing more on its gameplay as well as featuring a look at the game’s main feature, its attacker/supporter mechanic. You can check out the trailer below, courtesy of the Kodansha Creators Lab official Youtube channel:
About the Game
According to the title’s Steam page, in FAMILY BATTLE Tag Arena, players will be thrown in the middle of a battle between two families. As you could check out in the trailer above, in the game, players will be able to take on their chosen fighter and take part in a series of 2v2 3D tag team battles, where they must take a role of either an attacker or a supporter.
Also according to the game’s developers, working in perfect unison with your partner will be a must if you plan on overtaking your adversaries in the game.
FAMILY BATTLE Tag Arena: Attacker X Supporter
The Attackers will be focused, just as their title implies, on making use of melee weapons to deal heavy damage. Apart from their normal attacks, they will also be able to make use of 2 character exclusive abilities to overcome their opponents.
Supporters, on the other hand, will make use of long-ranged weapons but will not be able to damage opponents. They will be able to, however, make use of their skills to ”control the battle situation as they wish”.
FAMILY BATTLE Tag Arena will enter Steam’s Early Access on August 6th, 2022. You can wishlist the game right now by going to its official Steam page.
