Family Guy AI show latest to get the axe from Twitch after program goes rogue

Family Guy has been banned on Twitch after some controversial comments and less-than-PG conversations.

While The Simpsons may have written the formula, Family Guy has arguably been the more popular show among younger demographics since its release in the 1990s. Given its popularity, it makes sense that it would be one of the first programs to get its own show on Twitch. It should come as no surprise to anyone who’s been following these programs that this usually doesn’t end well.

The news was first broken by Dexerto on Twitter, sharing an image of what the stream looked like as well as the Twitch page that has been delisted. It’s unclear what caused this banning, but many users have taken to the replies on posted clips of the Artificial Intelligence script-writing software.

It’s hard to know what causes some of the statements or loops that get caught on repeat, including one specific example where the program gets stuck on an anti-Albania loop. There’s also one of the most ear-screeching sounds you have ever heard, so be warned if you’re wearing headphones or somewhere in the project. The second one is admittedly so funny it’s hard to believe it’s not scripted.

This follows a recent trend of AI programs getting canceled due to strange, offensive, or broken streams, like the Seinfeld AI show from earlier this year. Twitch has seemingly been pretty open about hosting these shows but it’s clear that the company is trying to hold it to the same standards as all the other regular streamers on the platform, as it should.

It’s unclear if the channel will appeal the decision or if it will be back, but the Seinfeld AI channel was able to return after it was removed with the publisher promising they had implemented stricter content moderation. The AI program seems to still be going on YouTube and Kick.
