Fire Emblem Engage, the renowned strategy game that allows players to summon heroes from past Fire Emblem titles and engage in tactical battles against an ancient evil, has just released its 2.0.0 update. The update comes with compatibility for the fourth wave of the Expansion Pass, which provides players with new content, including additional characters, locations, and maps.
Set in the Continent of Elyos, Fire Emblem Engage follows the story of a Divine Dragon seeking to collect Emblem Rings and restore peace to the land. This new installment in the Fire Emblem series features a turn-based tactical battle system, with a unique cast of customizable characters that players can Engage to enhance their strategies.
The version 2.0.0 update, released on April 4, 2023, brings general updates, including compatibility with Wave 4 of the Expansion Pass, an update bonus for entering the Somniel after Chapter 5, and free collaboration content with the smartphone app “Fire Emblem Heroes” available for download via the Nintendo eShop. The update also addresses various issues to ensure a more enjoyable gaming experience for players.
Here are the official patch notes from Nintendo:
- Compatible with Wave 4 of the Expansion Pass.
- Update Bonus has been added. You can receive items when entering the Somniel from Chapter 5 or later.
- Collaboration content with the smartphone app “Fire Emblem Heroes” can now be downloaded for free from the Nintendo eShop.
- You can receive items when entering the Somniel after downloading the data from the eShop.
- Note that players who have already downloaded the bonuses from linking with “Fire Emblem Heroes” cannot download the content again.
- Issues have been fixed to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.
The Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass comprises four waves of content, which include additional Emblem characters, support items, accessories, and story scenarios. Wave 4, now available, introduces a brand-new Fell Xenologue story featuring new characters, locations, and maps, as well as added class types.
Previous waves of the Expansion Pass have brought iconic heroes such as Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, Tiki, Hector, Soren, Camilla, Veronica, and the duo of Chrom and Robin to the game. Players can obtain Emblem Bracelets through the Expansion Pass to Engage with these characters and gain access to their weapons, skills, and more.
