Where to Find the Ancient Archives in Fisch

The Ancient Archives are hidden behind a waterfall on the Ancient Isles in Fisch, but to open its door, you need to find four Ancient Fragments, along with three other people, or it’s impossible to gain entry.

Reaching the Entrance: The easiest approach is from above. Use the ziplines from the right of the Merchant, then jump down onto the ledge leading to the cave behind the waterfall.

Finding the Archives Entrance: Climb down the rope behind the waterfall into the pit. This leads to the Ancient Archives entrance.

All Ancient Archive Fragment Locations

Unlocking the Archives requires four fragments: one obtained through fishing and three found on the Ancient Isles.

Important Note: If you can’t collect a fragment, it might be bugged. Try switching servers.

Ancient Fragment Location

The Ancient Fragment is obtained by fishing in the ocean near Ancient Isle with Maggot bait. The pond in front of the Merchant on Ancient Isles is a great place to fish, mainly because many testers found the Ancient Fragment in this location, and it’s so close to Solar and Earth Fragments.

Solar Fragment Location

The Solar Fragment is on the tallest hill at the top of Ancient Isle. However, it’s not that easy to find. It’s only collectible during a Solar Eclipse.

Behind the flower, climb the cliff and go past the first zipline, and keep heading up until you find another zipline, and take it all the way up. You should be in front of a pond. Head left of the water and climb the cliff again. At the top is your Solar Fragment next to a single tree, but it needs to be a Solar Elipse for it to appear.

Solar Eclipse: This occurs naturally but infrequently, with about a 10% chance of occurring.
Eclipse Totem: Use an Eclipse Totem (found in the cave near the Earth Fragment) to trigger a Solar Eclipse. Purchase two if possible, as you might need a second one to unlock the Archives themselves. Each Totem costs 250,000C$.
- If not, do this fragment last, and then rush to the Ancient Archive doors with your friends.

Earth Fragment Location

From the Solar Fragment, walk between the two trees in the image below. Then, descend the cliff but slowly.

You should see a giant flower on your left. Just to the right of it, you should see a wooden fence. Opposite the wooden fence is a cave entrance, and you can enter it to find the Earth Fragment, the Phoenix Rod, and the Eclipse Totem.

Deep Sea Fragment Location

The Deep Sea Fragmentt is close to the Merchant location at the island’s center. From the Merchant, go right and use the zipline all the way up. At the top, you’ll see a waterfall on your left; you want to instead go right and follow the water off the edge. This is actually above the entrance of the Ancient Archives.

This fragment is located underwater, directly beneath the waterfall. Equip your Diving Equipment before diving down to collect it, but it’s not that far down.

How to Unlock the Ancient Archives

With all four Ancient Fragments, head back to the Ancient Archives, then follow these steps:

Active Eclipse: Ensure a Solar Eclipse is active. Use an Eclipse Totem if necessary.
Four Players Required: Unlocking the Archives requires four players and four fragments.
- However, one person can trade the other three fragments to three friends to save the trouble of all four people getting four fragments.
Pressure Plates and Pillars: Each player stands on a pressure plate and inserts their corresponding fragment into a pillar by holding E.
- Match the Fragment color to the statue color.
  - However, once a fragment has been used, you must get another one if you crash, etc.
Rotating the Pillars: Rotate the pillars so the fragment faces the player.
- If done correctly, the screen will shake, and the doorway to the Ancient Archives will open.

Inside the Ancient Archives

Inside, you’ll find:

Rod Crafting Anvil: Craft new rods as you level up. A mount is needed to reach it.
New Fish: Complete the archive’s bestiary by catching the new fish found within.
