How to Get the Phoenix Rod in Fisch [Ancient Isles Update]
The Phoenix Rod is located in a hidden cave on Ancient Isle in Fisch. Follow these steps to find it:
- Travel to Ancient Isle: First, make your way to the Ancient Isles. Be careful navigating the waters, as spikes and other obstacles can damage your boat.
- Climb the Cliffs: Climb the cliffs and find the large pool of water in the center of the largest island in Ancient Isles. You’ll also find a Merchant here.
- Cross to the Merchant: Cross over to where the NPCs are located, and you’ll see a large pink flower on the left.

- Climb the Cliffs again: From the left of the pink flower, climb up the cliffs behind it. Keep heading up until you see a zipline, and go up it, and then again.

- Keep Climbing: At the top, you’ll see water. Climb the cliffs on the left, and you’ll see a Solar fragment. From the Solar Fragment, you’ll see a tree, so head towards that tree.

- Carefully Drop Down: Start going down the cliff behind the tree, and you’ll see a giant pink flower on the left. Go to the right of the flower to find a wooden fence.
- Find the Hidden Cave: Opposite the wooden fence are vines at coordinates (5925, 281, 883), and the cave is behind them.

- Enter the Cave and Purchase the Rod: Inside the cave, you’ll find the Phoenix Rod available for $ 40,000C$.

Phoenix Rod Stats
Here’s a breakdown of the Phoenix Rod’s stats:
- Lure Speed: 55%
- Luck: 30%
- Control: 0.02
- Resilience: -10%
- Max Weight of Fish (kg): 2800kg
Is the Phoenix Rod Worth it?
The Phoenix Rod is a solid mid-game option with its high lure speed and good luck stats. The 40% chance to set fish ablaze (Scorched Mutation) doubles their value. However, the -10% resilience can make controlling fish slightly more difficult. It’s not the best rod in the game (Rod of the Depths and Aurora Rod are superior), but it’s a significant upgrade from basic rods and outperforms the Midas Rod despite being cheaper.
The Phoenix Rod is a worthwhile investment if you’re looking for a balance between performance, cost, and style. However, it resembles an anime sword on fire when you are using it, so it’s pretty awesome for that alone.
