How to Get a Turkey in Fisch for Thanksgiving
The Turkey is a limited-edition fish introduced with the Ancient Isles update for the Fischgiving event in Fisch. It’s only available during this event, which has no confirmed end date yet. Catch it soon to complete your bestiary, or miss out forever or until next Thanksgiving.
Best Rod and Location for Catching the Turkey
The pond next to the Merchant area on Ancient Isles is an ideal fishing spot, but turkeys can actually be found anywhere. This location is close to the new Phoenix Rod if you want it! You can even gift caught turkeys to others!
Fisch Turkey Stats and Best Catching Conditions
Like other fish in Fisch, the Turkey has specific conditions that make it easier to catch:
- Preferred Season: Autumn
- Server Hope until you find a server where it’s autumn.
- Best Bait: Insects (though other baits can work)
- If you’re low on Insect bait:
- Common Crates: These can be fished up.
- Bait Crates: Purchase these on Moosewood for 120C$.
- If you’re low on Insect bait:
- Average Weight: 17kg
- Merchant Value: ~2500C$ (larger turkeys sell for more)
Just keep fishing until you manage to get one!
What is Fischgiving?
Fischgiving is a Thanksgiving event in Fisch. Turkeys (a limited-rarity fish) are released into the waters. Unlike other events, there are no special quests to start Fishgiving. Simply fish as usual, and you might catch a Turkey. However, you can speak to an NPC called Pilgrim and he’ll tell you all about the event!

How to Complete the Fischgiving Event
There’s no specific “end” to the Fischgiving event. The goal is simply to catch Turkeys for fun and for your bestiary. There are no further steps or rewards beyond catching the Turkey itself. This is not considered a bug, and the developers haven’t announced any additional aspects to the event. But this may change!
