Fnatic’s partnership with BMW Esports continues to generate compelling technology for serious gamers, adding a custom, 3D printed mouse for the entire Fnatic team. In a new behind-the-scenes video, Fnatic’s owner and CEO Sam Mathews hints that Fnatic’s involvement is “just the beginning”, and the Vision Mouse could be sold commercially “in the very near future”.

You can review how the big collaboration approached and completed the project on Fnatic’s YouTube channel here:

Both Fnatic and BMW have been leaders in the eSports scene, and creating access to a unique mouse for every gamer would be absolutely revolutionary. The Vision Mouse is aptly named, as it promises to improve comfort and maximize your skill.

Even if gamers aren’t actively participating in tournaments, there are plenty of mouse and key fans who are gradually building their streaming careers. Livestreams can last for an extensive number of hours, and viewers tend to tune in for notable content, so preserving your stamina and skill are key.

To be fair, eSports competitors and pro streamers are a pretty niche audience. That could make it difficult for Fnatic and BMW to pull together enough of an incentive to pursue this full steam.

Further, the Vision Mouse was created for Fnatic by 3D scanning each player’s hand, and incorporates internal components from Fnatic’s BOLT mouse. It would be expensive and complicated to pull off, however rewarding.

But the Vision Mouse could still be a useful investment for anyone who simply enjoys playing for a long time, winding down at night or over the weekend. Consider how many fans probably played the entire campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II all the way through, right from launch. And if a title is competitive enough, multiplayer modes can easily let hours slip away unnoticed.

Hopefully, the Vision Mouse goes public, because this would have a genuinely large impact on many gamers’ lives. You can read more about Fnatic and other new tech by following our news section!
