Fntastic, a developer based in Singapore and best known for the upcoming MMO zombie survival game The Day Before, has just announced a new video featuring the studio’s everyday life and development process.

Although this appears to be focused on the studio itself, it will include work on The Day Before, so curious fans should get another update, or at least some more gameplay footage. The premiere is scheduled for tomorrow on January 3rd, 2023, at 10 AM pacific time:

The video description contains no further details, and simply states “huge premiere” again. It would be more helpful if the studio was clearer about what fans should expect. Otherwise, they could end up with a lot of disappointed viewers.

Although Fntastic has shared videos about their daily lives before, such as a brief upload about their culture of volunteering, they have specifically mentioned The Day Before in today’s announcement.

The Day Before is an upcoming open world MMO with zombies, currently expected to launch on March 1st, 2023, for Steam. The PC launch has been delayed, originally scheduled for June of last year.

Since we’re getting a new video centered on Fntastic’s development, hopefully the upcoming release windows, ports, and content will have more updates. News for The Day Before has been few and far between. In fact, there hasn’t been an official trailer for nearly an entire year, including the IGN “mega event”.

The Day Before has teased some very polished graphics so far, but its mechanics and gameplay loop remain a little uncertain. To distinguish itself, the game appears to be very social. According to the Steam page, players will be able to safely interact in a neutral hub, between attacking each other for resources. Hopefully, tomorrow will bring more details that elaborate on the simple scavenging premise.
