Epic Games recently announced a new promotion for Fortnite players. Between March 18, 2024, and April 14, 2024, those who purchase and redeem a physical V-Bucks card will receive the Midnight Scythe Pickaxe as a bonus in-game cosmetic. The promotion starts in a few days but will only be available for a limited time.

As described in the post, The Midnight Scythe Pickaxe is a cool new harvesting tool available for Fortnite players. To get this bonus item, you have to have a valid Epic Games account. Each account can only receive one Midnight Scythe Pickaxe. You can buy V-Bucks online or from a physical store for this reward.

V-Bucks cards are sold in many convenience stores and retail outlets. Players can get more details and redeem their V-Bucks cards on the official Fortnite website. Keep in mind that V-Bucks redeemed on Nintendo Switch can only be used on that platform, while V-Bucks redeemed on platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Android, and cloud gaming services can be used across those platforms.

The promotion is available in certain countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Please note that players in Australia, Japan, and New Zealand will have a slightly shifted redemption period starting on March 19, 2024.

Epic Games has also mentioned that this promotion is not the only way to get the Midnight Scythe Pickaxe. It may be offered for direct purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop at a later time. However, if buying V-Bucks is a free way to get it, it’s strange to think that you’d buy V-Bucks and then use those V-Bucks to get it after the date.
