Fortnite‘s v24.20 patch introduces a range of Attack on Titan themed items to the popular battle royale game. Players can now unlock the Eren Jaeger Outfit through the Battle Pass, while Captain Levi and Mikasa Ackermann Outfits are available for purchase in the Item Shop.
The patch also adds Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear, which players can retrieve from Chests, Scout Regiment Footlockers, or the ground. Equipping this gear allows players to grapple in the air and attack opponents below, boosting back into the air after each strike. Players can also practice their skills by knocking down Titan Targets on the Island.
Another new addition is the Thunder Spears, arm-launched rockets designed to penetrate armored structures and damage enemies on both sides. These can also be found in Chests, Scout Regiment Footlockers, or on the ground.
In Anvil Square, players can discover Jaeger’s Family Basement, a hidden location containing many secrets. Players must find the basement’s exact location within Anvil Square to access it.
In addition to the Attack on Titan items, the patch includes updates such as the unvaulting of Dirt Bikes and balance changes for various weapons. The Port-A-Bunker has been unvaulted in Zero Build mode, and a Rare-rarity Kinetic Blade with two Kinetic Dash charges has been introduced. Some weapons, such as the Mythic Havoc Pump Shotgun and the Mythic Overclocked Pulse Rifle, have had their damage, accuracy, or availability reduced.
Here are the official details on the balance changes:
- Unvaulted the Port-A-Bunker in Zero Build.
- Introduced a Rare-rarity Kinetic Blade. With identical damage to the Epic Kinetic Blade, this Rare counterpart has only two Kinetic Dash charges. Rare Kinetic Blades can be found from the ground and Kinetic Blade stands.
- Reduced the max headshot damage of the Mythic Havoc Pump Shotgun.
- Reduced the accuracy and hipfire rate of the Mythic Overclocked Pulse Rifle.
- In Trios and Squads, reduced the number of Mythic Overclocked Pulse Rifles dropped by capturing a rifting-in POI.
- In Trios and Squads, reduced the number of Mythic Havoc Pump Shotguns found inside Vaults.
Finally, the patch addresses several bugs, including issues related to hot springs and rebooted players appearing invisible to teammates. Note that Thunder Spears and Dirt Bikes are not included in Arena or tournaments.
