Genshin Impact 2 7 Special Program Schedule

After being delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown in Shanghai, Genshin Impact finally announced the schedule for the 2.7 Special Program!

As usual, the livestream program will announce the biggest addition in the upcoming update. Special Programs have been a tradition in Genshin Impact, often occurring 12 days before the next versions’ release. Previously, the livestream for Version 2.7 has been delayed due to COVID-19 COVID-19 lockdowns at the main office of HoYoVerse, which is located in Shanghai.

Recently, Genshin Impact announced on their social media platforms that the Special Program for Version 2.7 is set to go live on the official Genshin Impact Twitch channel at 8 AM (UTC-4) and the official YouTube channel at 12 PM (UTC-4) on Friday, May 20th. The announcement did not come as much of a surprise to some fans since it had been speculated for quite some time that the livestream would happen in late May. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see what new features Version 2.7 brings to players.

Ahead of the Version 2.7 Special Program announcement, dataminers have leaked details about the upcoming update. Included in the leaked contents are Character Banners and events. Yelan, a five-star Hydro vision holder, is already set to be available as a playable character in the 2.7 update, which is likely the aspect of the upcoming content patch that fans are looking forward to the most. Additionally, the arrival of Kuki Shinobu may potentially pave the way for another story quest involving the Arataki Gang of Inazuma. Meanwhile, all other speculation and rumors from leaked contents will be confirmed in the livestream program.

Genshin Impact 2.6 is ending with a Sumeru-related event, titled “Spices From the West.” With the 2.7’s release, it is anticipated that more information about Sumeru will be revealed, fueling the excitement among fans to explore a new region in Teyvat.
