PlayStation Studios and Nixxes Software have announced that Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will be released on PC on May 16, 2024. The popular open-world action-adventure game will be sold on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. It appears that PlayStation is still bringing all their successful games to PC.

We’ve learned a lot about this from the announcement on the PlayStation Blog. The upcoming PC version of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will contain the complete base game, the Iki Island expansion, and the Legends cooperative online multiplayer mode. There will also be PC-specific features, like unlocked frame rates, customizable mouse and keyboard controls, and support for ultrawide monitors, which will provide a cinematic experience.

If you’ve not used a wider screen for gaming, it really is a game-changer, and we recommend it. It’s like seeing far more and being way more immersed. The game will use other PC-based technologies to improve performance, such as NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3, and Intel XeSS upscaling. This helps players maintain smooth frame rates on high-end hardware. It also uses NVIDIA DLAA and FSR 3 Native AA, which will be accessible to those prioritizing image quality.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC fully supports the PlayStation DualSense controller for those who like using a controller. That includes the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers that PlayStation loves to remind players about. Those who buy the game early will receive a bonus pack with special in-game items, such as a New Game+ Horse, Traveler’s Attire, and Broken Armor dyes.

While specific system requirements have not been disclosed, Nixxes Software and Sucker Punch Productions have stated that they will provide more details closer to the launch. I’d say keep an eye on the Steam and Epic Games pages. I don’t doubt this will be another PC hit for Sony, so it’s good to see them continue to expand the player base.
