The new “Father and Son” cinematic doesn’t include actual gameplay, but it begins with some well-staged action and ominous narration. Just 30 seconds long, it also gives fans a look at Kartos and Atreus confronting a gargantuan wolf.

Fans can pre-order the game beginning July 15th, 2022, at 10 AM eastern time in the US. The Collector’s and Jotnar Editions have been featured in an official unboxing video with actor Ryan Hurst, which was just uploaded today. You can watch the full video on YouTube here:

The Launch Edition, Collector’s Edition, and Jotnar Edition will give players a voucher code to redeem digital bonuses. According to a lengthy blog post from PlayStation, there will be 5 completely different editions, so we’re going to break them down for you.

Every Edition of God of War Ragnarok

The first version of the game is the “Launch Edition”. This simply includes two little pieces of DLC, the Kratos Risen Snow Armor and Atreus Risen Snow Tunic cosmetic.

The “Standard Edition” only includes the full game. The “Digital Deluxe Edition” will have Darkdale gear and cosmetics, the game’s digital soundtrack, a mini artbook and an Avatar Set.

The “Collector’s Edition” comes with a steelbook case and some model replicas, such as a 16″ Mjolnir, Dwarven Dice and Vanir Twins carvings. The packaging was inspired by the Knowledge Keeper’s Shrine, and the set also includes Digital Deluxe Edition content.

Finally, the “Jotnar Edition” includes all of the content mentioned above, with a few additions. These include a vinyl record of the soundtrack, Draupnir Ring, cloth map, and Brok’s Dice Set instead of Dwarven Dice.
