Obsidian Entertainment has just released a new massive update for Grounded. Update 1.2, otherwise known as The Super Duper update, includes various quality-of-life changes, more than a hundred new items to craft, a brand new Base Coziness feature, and a new terrifying creature to fight. More importantly, Update 1.2 introduces the new titular feature, the Super Duper machine. Check out all the new content that the Grounded Super Duper Game Update 1.2 has in store in a new trailer from Obsidian Entertainment’s official Youtube channel:
The titular new feature of Grounded Update 1.2, Super Duper, is a new piece of equipment installed in the Oak Lab. Players will find the Super Duper machine the next time they visit BURG.L. This machine will allow players to duplicate specific equipment and items using Raw Science.
To use the Super Duper, players must find Duper Discs throughout the yard. The first disc unlocks the machine’s functionality, while the following discs allow the player to duplicate higher-tier equipment and items.
Among the other exciting additions in Grounded Update 1.2 is the new Base Coziness system. Starting with the latest update, there are five total levels of base coziness that players must strive to achieve. Buildings, furniture, and decorations adds to the coziness level of the base.
For each new level of coziness players reach, they can unlock new decorative building recipes, a mutation that’s useful for base building, and new emotes. Being in a cozy location will also give status effects, such as decrease hunger, decrease thirst drain, and slow healing. To help players out with their bases and to start working on gaining those coziness levels, the Super Duper update also brings with it close to 100 new crafting items.
Grounded Update 1.2 also introduces a new friend, Handy Gnat. Players can summon the Handy Gnat to help with base building plans. This gnat will be able to build from storage near your teen using planks, stems, and other resources from your stockpiles.
Improvements to Turrets have also been implemented as part of The Super Duper update. The Pebblet Turret and Pollen Turret have been combined to become the Acorn Turret. Turrets now feature six different types of ammo that players may switch between without leaving the turret seat, and all of the ammo can be stored in a chest next to the turret.
Those who are looking for a more challenging battle may seek out the Wasp Nest and meet the Wasp Queen, the newest creature boss in Grounded Update 1.2. Players who successfully defeat these wasps will unlock new items to craft, including a new armor set and a new trinket to wear.
