Halo Infinite has released the full patch notes elaborating on each of the changes in today’s brand-new update. This includes some extensive adjustments and bug fixes, such as increasing sniper accuracy, reducing the radius of frag grenades, and matchmaking playlist removals. Here’s the full patch notes from Halo’s official support account on Twitter:

Although some of the changes in today’s update may appear minor, there are some very notable highlights.

Making players more accurate with a sniper rifle, without having to ADS, is going to make a serious difference online. According to the full patch notes, the error angle max has been reduced by 30%.

No-scopes have been a proud tradition in the Halo series, so longtime players are going to become far more dangerous. It could also help snipers get out of a pinch if they’re ambushed.

Also, frag grenades are central to any combat in Halo, invaluable to casual fans and the eSports scene. Their flexibility allows players to flush out anyone, and you don’t necessarily need to be very skilled to do it. Rather than letting teams spam the enemy with a barrage of grenades, it’ll take just a little more effort now to outmaneuver your opponents.

The new Weapon Rack system is surely a good addition, making weapons spawn less frequently. Ranked Arena and HCS will feel less overwhelming, since Halo often boils down to controlling power weapons. All of these changes are going to encourage players to use a little more strategy.

Although the patch notes have some noticeable absences, there seems to be more attention to fan feedback this time around. A lot of responses were pleased to hear about weapon jamming, while others are still frustrated about server issues.
