The reveal of the new season comes amidst criticism regarding the state of both the game’s main campaign and its multiplayer-focused mode. Many active players continue to complain about the lack of support and the inactivity of its developers regarding the latest installment in the acclaimed franchise.

The announcement also comes a little more than a week after the game’s Community Director, Brian Jarrard, revealed, in a Reddit reply, that, even though the developing team is definitely not happy with their inability to meet the expectations of the community, the situation is indeed delicate, and will take time to be resolved.

In the reply, he also revealed that the development team understands that the community is currently out of patience, as well as is “understandably tired of words.” You can check out Jarrard’s full reply below:

It’s also important to point out that, differently than the main campaign of the game, which follows Master Chief in the new chapter of his story, Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer Mode is available for free on both consoles and on PC.
