Images and footage of a Falcon in Halo Infinite have been leaked online, showing off the new mode of transportation coming to the latest installment in the Halo series.
A staple from the Halo-Verse, the UH-144 Falcon is a versatile utility helicopter used by the UNSC Army. Manufactured by Misriah Armory, the Falcon is used for troop transport and deployment, as well as air-to-ground support, thanks to its two side-mounted guns.
First introduced as a flyable vehicle in Halo Reach, the Falcon saw quick popularity among the player base. A smaller, playable version of the Pelican, the Falcon gives opportunities for fast deployment and aerial superiority in online Halo matches — Opportunities players will soon be seeing in Halo Infinite.
@Mr_Rebs_ on Twitter shares an image of the new Falcon coming to Halo Infinite. The model of the Falcon, as well as its inclusion in the game at all, is a leak of future content coming to the game. While an untextured version of the Falcon model was leaked last summer, this is our first look at a fully idealized version of the aircraft.
In addition to Reb’s leak, we got some actual gameplay to come of Halo Infinite’s Falcon. @DeltaIndex_, a Twitter account dedicated to sharing Halo Infinite leaks, shared a video of the Falcon being piloted by a player in what seems like a developer’s build of the game.
While some players have pointed out the lack of sounds when the Falcon is flying and the overall shakiness of the flight, its important to remember that what we are viewing is most likely footage of a work in progress. It is more than likely that the footage does not represent the final product we’ll get when the Falcon finally comes to Halo Infinite.
The inclusion of the Falcon will greatly change online Halo Infinite battles, allowing for more mobility options via aerial redeployment. The footage shows that we will also get access to the Falcon’s side-mounted weapons like in Reach, overall increasing the amount of firepower on the map.
