Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 4 is releasing on May 9th with Patch 26.2, and players are in for a treat as E.T.C. brings an exciting new show to Bob’s Tavern. The season’s headline act is the new hero Rock Master Voone, the introduction of the Venomous keyword, and a massive minion remix.
As Season 3 comes to an end on May 9th, rankings will be reset, Battlegrounds Buddies removed, and the Battlegrounds Track switched over. Rewards earned from the Season 3 Track will automatically be claimed if not yet claimed by players. Minion types for Season 4 are being rolled out in phases, starting with Beasts, Murlocs, Dragons, Elementals, Naga, and Undead on May 9th. Pirates will join the pool on May 11th, followed by Demons on May 15th, and finally, Quilboar and Mechs on May 22nd.
The new hero, Rock Master Voone, comes with the passive ability “Upbeat Harmony,” which provides players with a plain copy of the left-most card in their hand at the end of every 3 turns. Voone will be available in all lobbies for two weeks after Patch 26.2.
Several heroes have undergone updates, including Lady Vashj, Lich Baz’hial, Shudderwock, N’Zoth, Mutanus, and Vol’jin. Some heroes are no longer banned in specific lobbies, while others have new restrictions.
The Poisonous keyword has been removed from Battlegrounds and replaced with the Venomous keyword, which works similarly but only destroys the first minion damaged by a Venomous minion each combat. Mega-Windfury has also been removed; when a Windfury minion is tripled, it will still have Windfury. Additionally, players can now Magnetize to their Mechs even with a full board, a change applicable to all game modes.
A plethora of new minions have been introduced across various tiers and minion types, offering fresh strategies and gameplay experiences. Notable additions include Incorporeal Corporal (Undead), Southsea Busker (Pirate), Manasaber (Beast), Low-Flier (Dragon), and many more.
Existing minions like Wrath Weaver, Tad, Snail Cavalry, Deep Sea Angler, Thorncaller, Ripsnarl Captain, Tarecgosa, and Eventide Brute have also seen updates, with changes to their stats or abilities.
You can read all of the details on the update via the 26.2 Patch Notes on the official Hearthstone website.
