The latest update for the action-packed rhythm game Hi-Fi Rush, developed by Tango Gameworks, brings a variety of improvements and fixes to enhance the gaming experience. Update 4 addresses several issues that players have encountered while fighting the evil megacorp alongside Chai and his ragtag team.
Among the fixes included in Update 4, an exploit has been removed that allowed players to continuously resell attacks they had already sold, adding a touch of realism to the game. The patch also resolves a bug that prevented the “Specialist” challenge on The Wall of Fame from being unlocked, even after purchasing all available Special Attacks. This fix is retroactive, so players who have already purchased the attacks will automatically have the objective registered as complete.
Another issue fixed in Update 4 is a hidden animation not playing when interacting with 808 on the couch while she is wearing the Bossplay Roquefort costume. The update also improves support for PSO caching on the Microsoft Store version of the game, addressing hitching issues that players may have experienced during gameplay. Additionally, the couch pillow softness in Chai’s hideout has been adjusted to better refresh him in between missions.
Here’s the full list of patch notes that were made available for Update 4:
- Removed exploit that allowed players to continuously resell attacks that the player has already sold. This adds realism since you cannot sell that which is no longer yours.
- Fixed an issue where the “Specialist” challenge on The Wall of Fame will not be unlocked despite purchasing all available Special Attacks in the game. (Note: This is retroactive, so if you have already purchased the attacks it will register the objective as complete automatically)
- Fixed an issue where a cool hidden animation for playing with 808 on the couch while she is equipped with the Bossplay Roquefort costume would not play.
- Fixed support of PSO caching on the Microsoft Store version which could cause hitching during gameplay.
- Adjusted couch pillow softness in the hideout to better refresh Chai when relaxing in between missions.
Update 3, the previous patch, introduced the Bossplay Costume Pack, which allowed players to dress Chai and his friends in villainous Vandelay vogue. This update also brought several quality of life improvements, such as 2D Rhythm Game Assist and Auto Rhythm Parry features, available only on Easy and Normal difficulty modes. Furthermore, collectible information was added to the stage select screen, along with various bug fixes and minor adjustments to Photo Mode.
