The highly anticipated Complete Edition of Horizon Forbidden West will launch on October 6th, 2023, for the PlayStation 5, according to a new announcement trailer.
Guerilla Games has partnered with Nixxes Software for a PC version of the Complete Edition. It will be available sometime in early 2024, though a concrete release date was not confirmed. The PC version will support Steam and the Epic Games Store, where you can wishlist them now.
The Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will cost $59.99 USD and includes the base game and Burning Shores DLC. It will also have a digital soundtrack, art book, and comic book, in addition to some in-game content.
The full details are listed in an official PlayStation blog. You can watch today’s announcement trailer on Guerilla’s YouTube channel:
The release date and pricing for this Complete Edition had already appeared online, so it’s fortunate that the devs rolled out something official so quickly. However, fans will have to wait for details on the PC features and specs. Today’s blog reveals the devs plan to gradually release that information “in the coming months.”
Most players who would really enjoy this Complete Edition probably own the base game already since that remains one of the most impressive and praised titles in the industry. But there may yet be some newcomers who would enjoy this kind of bundled content.
That’s especially true after PlayStation 5 announced a new console inspired by Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which surely brought in waves of new fans who hadn’t even owned the platform yet.
The Burning Shores DLC was a little divisive when it first launched back in April, but reviews were somewhat muddled, and there was still a decent amount of content there. Along with some minor cosmetics, the Complete Edition should justify its price tag for some players.
