Best Gifts for Hortensia

The best gifts to give Hortensia are: Antler Earrings, Bear Carving, Cute Apron, Fine Quill Pen, Flower Wreath, Landscape Art, Lovely Candle, Lupine Flower, Quality Kerchief, Spirit Gem, Strong Perfume, Sun Visor. You’ll want to reserve these gifts as you acquire them so that you can improve your relationship with Hortensia.

Hortensia is part of Elusia, which is in the northeast area of Elyos and is covered in snow. This region does not believe in the Divine Dragon and instead worships the Fell Dragon.

There are four different responses a character can give when receiving a gift: delighted, happy, upset, or refusal. Thankfully, you’ll only upset a character with the gift of horse manure, while if you simply gift them something they dislike, they’ll refuse the gift. Obviously, you want a delighted or happy reaction to your gift so stick with the best gifts we’ve listed above!

You will find gifts whenever you investigate sparkling areas that you’ll find throughout your time in Elyos and exploring the vast world. You can also purchase some gifts at the Flea Market (unlocked after Chapter 12), but it is not the most reliable source of acquiring gifts so make sure to check out any areas that are sparkling while progressing through the storyline.

Worst Gifts for Hortensia

The worst gifts to give Hortensia are: Bandages, Butterfly Net, Field Guide, Fishing Bait, Horse Manure, Large Plate, Muscle Balm, Spicy Seasonings, Tea Leaves, Training Weights, White Clover. You’ll want to avoid giving these gifts to Hortensia as they will not improve your relationship with them! Save them to give to another character who will love them instead.
