Considered to be one of the most annoying boss fights in Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers, King Moaman will give you a hard time. He is accompanied by two Moamans, Blue and Red, buffing him throughout the fight. If not defeated, these two minions will send your party back home in no time. The King’s innate color is Black Element, which means he’ll dish out massive damage to Serge, especially if the two mobs buff him. Fret not, because we’ll be walking you through the boss fight with this guide!
How To Beat King Moaman
The easiest way to beat the flying king in Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers is to eliminate his goons first!

The Blue Moaman attacks your party with a Blue Element Tech called the Ice Sword. The same goes with the Red Moaman, which attacks with a Red Element Tech called Fire Sword. Both of these attacks may inflict freeze and burn status effects, which will make the fight even harder. Aside from that, both Moamans will buff the King Moaman from time to time. King Moaman also has a unique technique with the other two Moamans called Twin Turbo, which is a Black Element Tech. It hits like a truck, so better eliminate those underlings fast.
Once you have defeated one of the underling Moamans, it’s time to chip away at the King’s health slowly. Dash & Slash, as well as Meteorite, will deal colossal damage to the boss. King Moaman will start hitting your party with some Gravitonne and an occasional Gravity Blow. Anticipate this, and always make sure your party is healed up before receiving damage.

Like other boss fights, keeping your health above a certain amount ensures your survivability when receiving damage from special attacks. In this case, keep Serge’s and your other party members’ health above 80. Bringing extra Tablets and equipping healing abilities will make this ordeal easier. Once all of the underling Moamans are defeated, you can focus your attacks on King Moaman. White Element Techs will melt his HP like butter, snagging you your most sought victory.

Once defeated, King Moaman will drop either a common Gravity Blow drop or a rarer Power Glove item. Having Kid in the party allows you to steal some items from King Moaman, namely Copper or a Feathery Dress. The party will then begin planning their infiltration of Viper Manor.
