How to Complete the Fia Questline in Elden Ring

Complete the Fia Questline for an alternate ending in Elden Ring.
Elden Ring Fia Quest

Fia has become infamous for her ability to embrace players in Elden Ring and essentially remove some of their maximum health without even knowing. Regardless of the weird nature of her character as a death bed companion, Fia does have her own quest line and it can even change the ending of the main story. Completing the quest doesn’t take too long, but there are some major obstacles along the way, and this guide will detail how to get by them.

Completing the Fia Questline in Elden Ring

Within the Roundtable Hold in Elden Ring, you can start the Fia Questline by heading to the right hand side of the building. She is sitting on the bed in the room before the blacksmith where she waits for the Tarnished by herself. The first step is to speak to her and accept her embrace. If her dialogue to listen to her secret isn’t available, you should make some progress and come back. When she divulges information about the dagger, the quest has begun. Make sure to use the item she gives you to gain all of your health back in the process!

Elden Ring Fia Curse

Steps for completing the Fia Questline:

  • Accept the dagger given by Fia and bring it over to D at the Roundtable Hold.
  • He is the golden knight sitting by the massive lost grace in the hold.
  • After he takes the dagger, leave the hold and go back. D will be missing from the table.
  • Head towards the blacksmith and beyond him there will be an open door. Fia will have killed D and when players speak to her she will disappear.
  • She will end up at the throne room of the prince in the Deeproot Depths, an underground location that is tied to a separate path in Nokron.
  • While in Nokron, players should finishe the Ranni questline to get the Carian Study Hall key. Players will need it to recieve a Cursemark of death needed to continue
  • In the massive room, with the Cursemark in hand, players will need to embrace Fia yet again and listen to her speak. Leave, come back, and speak again until she is eventually asleep.
  • When she is asleep, interact with her to enter a new phase. The Lichdragon will appear and will need to be defeated.

After you defeat the Lichdragon, you will be brought back to the same realm as Fia where her body will have a rune floating over it. This rune is the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince and is needed for an alternate ending to Elden Ring.

What ending does the Fia Questline give in Elden Ring?

When you complete the questline for Fia, that Mending Rune of the Death-Prince is an important item for a separate ending. That ending is called the Age of Duskborn and is one of the many options that players will have as the game comes to a close. Another option will be the default ending, or even the Age of Stars driven by Ranni.

In this case, the Age of Duskborn is similar to the default ending. However, there is far more death and dark color rather than the light as the Elden Lord. Choosing Fia’s ending is always an option, but it’s certainly one of the darker ways to end Elden Ring.
