V Rising has you awakening as a vampire in a hostile world. You will need to find blood to regain your strength, and build your way up to the top of the vampire hierarchy. To do so, you will need to create a base for you and your friends or attempt to go it alone. When constructing your base, you might want to add some stairs or ramps, if so, we’ll tell you how in this guide.

Staircase Guide

To use stairs in V Rising, you will need to have slopes that are leading up or down towards your castle. Stairs are not used for creating an additional floor in the game, they are pretty much only cosmetic in nature and give you the illusion of a second floor.

Stairs are unfortunately not all that functional in V Rising at the moment. You will eventually get access to crafting them, but you won’t be able to place them on anything but walkable slopes. So, while you can’t actually terraform in the game, you can make the area more aesthetically pleasing with them. This goes for ramps as well, which function pretty much the same as stairs.

While they might not be super useful, they do unlock pretty early on. You should get access to them after you complete the game’s tutorial. If you decide to build your castle near some slopes, you will be able to construct a staircase or ramp that can lead to the location.

That’s everything you need to know about using stairs in the game! We’ve got more great content on the game in the V Rising section of our website.
