It’s always been a fan favorite within the franchise, and because of the many Eeveelutions that exist in the series, the Pokemon has a ton of versatile options for battles and teams. In Pokemon Go, you can obtain nearly any unseen Eeveelution by using the name trick, and this guide will outline which names work within the mobile game.
Each option for the Pokemon Go Eevee Name Trick
When you catch an Eevee, you have a few different options for an Eeveelution. If you have not used it yet, you can essentially a redeem a one-use name trick to get the exact Eeveelution that you want. Other methods will either give you a random pick or will require certain challenges to be met with a given Eevee. Of course, the name trick is the easiest method if available, and they are all listed below.

Remember that each of these names can only be used once for a guaranteed Eeveelution. Players can continue to use the same names on other Pokemon in the game, but the trick will no longer work and it will be purely cosmetic. At that point, you will need to meet certain parameters on an Eevee to get the desired choice. One example would be evolving Eevee while near a Mossy Lure Module to get Leafeon. Some choices like Umbreon and Sylveon will take more time and walking to achieve.
How to change the name of a Pokemon in Pokemon Go
For those who are unfamiliar with name changes in Pokemon Go, the feature is quick and easy to use. The first step is to go into your Pokemon inventory and choose your desired Pokemon, such as an Eevee in this case. From there, tap on the pen icon next to the name of the selected Eevee or any other option. This will effectively change the way that selected Pokemon is sorted by name within the inventory.
