The release of Immortals of Aveum, a single-player first-person magic shooter, has been postponed. Initially, the release of the game was scheduled for an earlier date, but the developers, Ascendant Studios, announced a delay with a new launch date set for August 22nd.

The Ascendant Team, led by Bret, communicated the delay in a statement. They emphasized that their decision to postpone the game’s release is rooted in a commitment to excellence: “The recent feedback to the game proves to us what we already felt: that Immortals of Aveum is something special. In order to realize our full vision, we are going to take a few extra weeks, making our new launch date Tuesday, August 22nd. This will give us time to further polish the game, finish optimizing all platforms, and deliver a strong launch.”

The statement also offered insight into the team’s journey: “As you know, this is our first game as a self-funded independent studio. We set out five years ago to ambitiously make an original Magic FPS in a new fantasy world. Along the way, we worked through a pandemic, built a new team, developed on Unreal Engine 5.1 and pushed the boundaries of what we thought was possible.”

Finally, the developers expressed their gratitude for the community’s support and patience: “Stay tuned for more info about the game in the coming weeks, and thank you for taking part in this journey with us!”

Immortals of Aveum enables players to assume the role of Jak, an Immortal skilled in harnessing all three colors of magic. The player’s journey unfolds as Jak uncovers the enigmas of Aveum and engages in the Everwar, a struggle for the dominion of magic. the game seeks to provide a compelling narrative and innovative gameplay mechanics, along with a unique experience of magic-based combat.

The game will be available on multiple platforms, including Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
