Immortals of Aveum, an upcoming action fantasy shooter from developer Ascendant Studios and publisher EA, will finally release a full reveal trailer on April 13th, 2023, at 5 PM CEST (or 8 AM pacific time).
A release window hasn’t been confirmed for Immortals of Aveum, though recent rumors have been hinting at a July release. It will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as next-gen consoles for PlayStation and Xbox.
Here’s the new reveal announcement from the Immortals of Aveum Twitter feed, which includes a new teaser that provides insight on the origins of the game:
The brief teaser that accompanied today’s trailer announcement continues to emphasize how much influence the shooter genre will have on Immortals of Aveum. Apparently, the idea began as a simple fantasy makeover for classic shooting mechanics.
It may not be revolutionary, but in this particular context, Immortals of Aveum has the potential for a novel campaign. The story will also be single-player only, an experience that has become increasingly rare, so it should attract fans that miss that old school gameplay.
The only footage that Immortals of Aveum has released so far is the 2022 Game Awards teaser, which is mostly cinematic but offers a brief glimpse of massive destruction and magic. The description for that teaser really kicked off the shooter approach by mentioning Call of Duty and Dead Space like a movie logline, as if Immortals of Aveum is literally aiming to combine the two.

The fantasy genre is often action-packed, but it’ll be interesting to see if Immortals of Aveum can truly bring something as unique and explosive as it suggests.
