Pokemon is one of the most popular franchises on the planet, and it has been transferred into the mobile world with Pokemon Go. One particular aspect of the game that intrigues players is catching shinies. These are Pokemon that have alternate colorations than their normal counterpart, which makes them highly sought after. These types of Pokemon are also particularly difficult to find, so knowing whether or not they exist in Pokemon Go is essential.
Shiny Rockruff
Shiny Rockruff is back in the Pokemon Go Lustrous Odyssey event, where you have the chance to capture a Shiny Rockruff and evolve it into the Shiny Dusk Form Lycanroc evolution.
The Dusk Form is now available in Pokemon Go, however, you need to get yourself a brand new shiny from the wild or 2km and 7km eggs only during the Lustrous Odyssey event. All Rockruffs caught before this event started can not be evolved into Lycanroc.
Once you have one, evolve it between the hours of 5PM to 7PM local time using 50 Rockruff Candy. We are unsure if the specific Rockruff that can transform into Dusk Form will stay in the egg pool, and it’s not guaranteed the Rockruff you catch will evolve into the Dusk Form.
Shiny Rockruff, you can only normally get one via a Raid and from 10km Eggs for the time being. This will make the already rare chance of getting a shiny version of this Pokemon a bit more difficult.

While Rockruff is a cute Pokemon and a good looking shiny, one of the main attractions will be Lycanroc, which is the evolution of Rockruff. Lycanroc has three forms it can evolve into based on the time when it is evolved. These are Midday, Midnight, and Dusk Form. Midday is what you will get during the day, Midnight at night, and Dusk form is typically only obtained if your Rockruff has the Own Tempo move and is evolved between a specific hour of time.
When you reach level 25 on your Rockruff, it will then evolve into one of the Lycanroc forms based on the time it starts its evolution. Each form has its own moveset and base stats, but they are all Rock-type Pokemon.
Here is the midday form in normal and shiny variants:

Here’s what it will look like if you go for the midnight form:

Here’s what it look like if you for the Dusk Form:

That’s everything you need to know on whether or not you can get a Shiny Rockruff in the game. We have a bunch more great content that will help you get all the critters you desire in the Pokemon Go section of our website.
Hi. The Dusk form is apparently now available in Pokémon Go. I just got the Rockruff in a shiny version from a hatched egg and it can only be evolved to the dusk form, not the midnight nor the midday form.
Thanks for this!
