Kick is trying harder every day to pose real competition to streaming giants like YouTube and Twitch, making decisions based on the longevity of the platform. Now, Kick has provided a new setting that allows users to hide specific content they may object to, like gambling and streams that feature content that’s NSFW.

The news was confirmed by streaming reporter HUN2R on Twitter, showing the boxes that can be selected to either “Hide Pools, Hot Tubs & Bikinis,” or “Hide Slots & Casino.” This comes after content creators noticed that the gambling streams seemed to be hardwired into showing up in specific places on the home page of the site.

Those who want to hide those streams can do so by clicking on their profile icon in the top right and then “Settings” from the drop-down menu. This will take you to your Profile screen where you can scroll to the bottom and select the boxes for either or both of the options to hide the content from appearing when you’re logged into your profile.

It also appears that the issues that some raised about the gambling streams being coded into the home page have also been resolved, with only one appearing. This change was implemented early in the morning on Monday so it’s not clear yet whether this will be enough to please skeptical audiences and streamers.

This is a developing story and more information will be added as it becomes available. Make sure to check back at Try Hard Guides for all the information about the latest streaming news.
