Fans of the well-received medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance have been looking forward to a sequel, and there are signs that the wait might end soon. Warhorse Studios, the creators of the original game, has hinted at a major game announcement set for April 18th. Considering the studio’s background and the timing of the reveal, there is intense speculation that it could be related to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
The rumor has gained traction due to tweets from industry insider Tom Henderson. Henderson is a friend (and former writer) of this site and is known for accurate leaks (as well as the site Insider-Gaming). He posted two short tweets saying “Kingdom Deliverance 2” and then clarified, “This isn’t wishful thinking btw – It is Kingdom 2.” Though this is not an official confirmation, Henderson’s track record adds credibility to the rumors about the sequel.
I look up to Henderson myself, and while I am always saying to take leaks with a grain of salt, whenever Henderson is sure, he’s right. He is either the best psychic in our industry or gets this information from people in the know. I’d say the latter is the case.
For those who have never played, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which came out in 2018, received positive feedback for its realistic portrayal of history. It is realistic to a fault, which some would call boring because it can be hard to get into and tedious at times. However, it’s the most realistic portrayal of history and medieval times around.
It has engaging open-world gameplay and will teach you a lot about times when it is set. The game is based in 15th-century Bohemia and follows the journey of Henry, a blacksmith’s son, as he gets caught up in a life-changing conflict in the region. The game’s distinctive storytelling style and combat system and attention to historical accuracy attracted a loyal fan base.”
While fans are waiting for official confirmation from Warhorse Studios, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 seems to be coming. The April 18th announcement is expected to reveal the long-awaited sequel, maybe with a cinematic trailer and details about the game’s setting, story, and new features. For those who liked Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the idea of a sequel is pretty cool, and I know there’s a lot of excitement over the release.
