Today, Riot Brightmoon and Riot Meddler, two members of League’s development team, shared news about the future of League of Legends via a video posted on the official League Twitter account. The two go into detail on everything from upcoming champs, new visual updates, and even upcoming game modes coming to League.

One the subject of new champions, the two developers explain that the team’s current focus is on bringing older beloved champions up to date with the game’s current state of play. They mention two current Art and Sustainability updates, or ASUs (similar to Caitlyn and Ahri’s updates) are currently in the works for Teemo and Lee Sin.

Because of this focus on older champions, they explain that new champion releases may be slowed. However, they are working on making ASUs come much quicker so that more of the roster can be updated.

In addition, the champion pricing model is being changed, though they don’t go into detail as to what changes they’re going to be making in the video.

They also mention new game modes being worked on, including a 2v2(v2v2) mode where four teams of two will pick champions and be paired against another team in several deathmatch-style rounds. They go into more detail on this in the State Of Modes Dev Post.

By popular request, they will also begin porting overs fan-favorite Wild Rift exclusive skin sinto League of Legends PC. The first Wild Rift skins coming to PC are Star Guardian Seraphine, Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah, and Redeemed Star Guardian Rakan, but there is currently no estimate as to when this will happen.

Finally, the dev update discusses some technical changes coming to League of Legends, including new Cloud Servers that should reduce the frequency of login queue times significantly.

As a result of the social engineering attack Riot recently suffered, they also announced that Clash has been delayed until March.
