A well-known leaker on Twitter claims that a remake announcement we will get at the Game Awards is Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. I highly doubt anyone would expect this to be remade, so it is a strange assertion. This is a popular game, but the developer may want to upgrade the graphics or make it longer.
X (formally Twitter) leaker Billbil-kun tweeted that Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons would get an announcement regarding its remake. The only information given was that 505 Games would still publish that title and that it may happen at the Game Awards. That’s not a lot to go off of, but it’s a great reason to bookmark our Game Awards countdown.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons tells the story of Naia and Naiee, two brothers who embark on a perilous journey to find the “Water of Life” to cure their ailing father. Their mother tragically drowned at sea, leaving a deep scar on Naiee, who developed a fear of water.
It’s a single-player game that lets you control both brothers simultaneously. The left side of the controller controls the older and stronger Naia, while the right side controls the younger but nimble Naiee. Each brother has unique skills crucial for solving puzzles and overcoming obstacles. Naia’s strength allows them to push objects and fight enemies, while Naiee’s agility is essential for climbing cliffs and reaching otherwise inaccessible areas.
Their journey takes them through a fantastical world filled with creatures, strange lands, and puzzles. It tells a compelling story of love, loss, and the unbreakable bond between siblings without dialogue or text, instead relying on the environment, character actions, and subtle visual cues.
