LEGO Bricktales, the puzzle and adventure game set in LEGO dioramas from developer ClockStone and Thunderful Publishing, has finally released the free Summer Update on all platforms, following the PC launch last week. The update adds a variety of new content, including:

• Summer diorama
• Summer music festival storyline
• New construction puzzles
• 1 traversal puzzle
• New wardrobe items
• 2 new music tracks

LEGO Bricktales originally launched last year in 2022, and was recently ported to mobile devices last April. It’s available now on PC, Mobile, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. You can watch today’s new trailer for the Summer DLC on the Thunderful Games YouTube channel:

The new Summer Update introduces a terrific new diorama that captures the spirit of the season, with bright beaches and a joyful music festival theme. The puzzles are both creative and successfully balanced. The summer diorama is available after finishing the Jungle world, and the new wardrobe cosmetics must be unlocked with the new diorama’s currency.

The Summer DLC is consistent with the playful and cozy dioramas that distinguish this game as one of the definitive LEGO experiences, genuinely reminiscent of childhood building and imagination. It’s always a delight to see what new context the devs can deliver for players to continue helping everybody in sight. That never feels shoehorned, and the consistently optimistic tone is very appealing.

The update also adds enough new content for players who recently joined thanks to the mobile port, since LEGO Bricktales is a natural fit for mobile gameplay.

So, it’s a relief that the update has finally reached all platforms. There may have been some kind of porting issue, but that would be strange, because LEGO Bricktales itself launched onto consoles alongside PC back in 2022.
