Publisher Neowiz and developer Round8 Studio have announced the delay in the release of the much-anticipated Soulslike action RPG, Lies of P, from its original August release window to September 19. The game, set to launch on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, and PC via Steam, will also be accessible through the Xbox Game Pass. In a press release, Lies of P director Jiwon Choi expressed excitement for the upcoming September 19 launch, and invited gaming enthusiasts to delve into the demo. He stated hopes that the game will resonate with fans of the Soulslike genre, and its unique interpretation of Pinocchio’s lore, will be well-received.

For those willing to pre-order the game, Neowiz and Round8 Studio have released a range of options. The digital standard edition pre-orders come bundled with a unique “Mischievous Puppet’s Set” outfit. A deluxe edition, on the other hand, includes an additional “Great Venigni’s Set” outfit and a unique mask, as well as early access to the game, three days prior to the official launch. The physical version features an exclusive SteelBook tome-inspired collector’s box, a 92-page artbook, and bonus digital items, including the original soundtrack, “The Great Venigni’s Set” outfit, and a unique mask. A standard physical edition of the game is also available for purchase.

In the demo, players get a glimpse of Lies of P, including the first two chapters, challenging boss encounters, and introductions to key characters. The demo offers several hours of gameplay, allowing players to explore the game’s main hub area— the Hotel Krat. While providing an introductory look at Lies of P, the demo only offers a taste of the full game content set to be available upon its official launch.
