Fans of the Soulslike genre can rejoice! The action RPG Lies of P is preparing to receive a free downloadable content pack inspired by fellow Soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. This crossover, arriving on February 13, 2024, will allow players to equip their puppet protagonist with iconic gear from the Three Kingdoms China-themed world of Wo Long.

The DLC – titled Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Collaboration – brings a trio of items to Lies of P, as revealed in a tweet. Players can wield the Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive, a formidable bladed weapon, and don the Armor of the Honorable and Bandana of the Honorable, transforming their marionette into a warrior straight out of Wo Long. This content promises a unique visual and gameplay experience, allowing players to experiment with a new combat style and aesthetic within Lies of P.

This collaboration reciprocates an earlier DLC released for Wo Long in September 2023. That update added weapons and costumes inspired by Lies of P to the Three Kingdoms adventure. Both gestures highlight the growing trend of collaboration within the Soulslike genre, offering fans exciting crossover experiences and developer synergy.

Both Lies of P and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty were released in 2023 and received positive reception for their unique takes on the Soulslike formula. Lies of P, developed by Korean studio Neowiz, drew inspiration from various Soulsborne titles while incorporating a Belle Époque setting and a puppetry theme. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, from Team Ninja, took cues from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice but placed players amidst the historical backdrop of the Three Kingdoms period.

This DLC is completely free, so be sure to log in and nab it if you own the Lies of P game.
