Straka Studio has shared exciting news, revealing that the action roguelite, Loot River, is finally making its way to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on December 19th. Following its initial launch on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S over a year ago, the game is expanding its reach to captivate PlayStation fans.
Adding to the excitement is the new Level Editor feature, which will be available on all supported platforms alongside the PlayStation release of Loot River. The new Level Editor allows players to create, play, and share custom-made levels through cross-platform support. The announcement was accompanied by a brand-new trailer, showcasing the new Level Editor feature.
In Loot River, players will take on a thrilling journey as a lone travelers in a mysterious and perilous world. Its gameplay is described as “Souls meets Tetris” within a lore-rich setting. The game challenges to fight countless tortured souls, while unlocking various abilities, items, and weapons. To advance, players will combine armor, runes, headgear, and powerful charms, resulting in altered combat tactics and enhanced fighting strategy.
As players venture deep into the world of Loot River, they will navigate ancient dungeon ruins by sliding them to conquer formidable foes and unravel puzzles. Along the way, they will battle horrifying beasts and bosses from alternate realities as well as meet diverse and intriguing characters, travelers, friends, who inhabit the strange world of Loot River.
Since its initial release, Loot River has been well-received by roguelike genre fans. The game’s visually stunning hand-drawn pixel art world, combined with fluid animations, real-time 3D shadows, and impressive water simulation, has captivated players. The unique fusion of Tetris-inspired hack-and-slash mechanics has set Loot River apart, offering a challenging yet engaging gaming experience.
