Mario Kart Tour has just revealed a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming “Pipe Tour”, which is slated to begin next week on July 11th, 2023, at 11 PM pacific time. The new tour will add the brand-new Piranha Plant Pipeline course, Wiggler, another wave of Mii Racing Suits, and more.
Mario Kart Tour is available now on the App Store and Google Play. You can watch today’s Pipe Tour Trailer on the Nintendo Mobile YouTube channel:
Today’s trailer for the new tour may have been uploaded like clockwork, but there’s definitely synergy with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which revealed a trailer for the new Booster Course Pass Wave 5 just yesterday. The core game will also be adding Wiggler, and quite a few courses from Mario Kart Tour.
The Pipe Tour’s addition of Wiggler is sure to please fans, and they have some cute animations. It’d be fun to see even more karts with their signature pattern. Wiggler is also another classic character, but still feels more unique than some of the obvious nostalgic selections.
It’s also a delight to see Pauline in a new light with her cowgirl alt, especially since fresh cosmetics are typically rolled out for many of the same characters.
Pipes are an integral part of the game, and even the recent film adaptation. However, Mario Kart Tour recently introduced Piranha Plant Cove, so fans may have hoped for something more unique. Hopefully, Piranha Plant Pipeline will be creative enough to justify all the plants.
To celebrate Wiggler’s arrival, they got a themed suit for Mii Racing Suits Wave 36, which rolls out with the new tour. Nintendo Mobile released a trailer with the full list of upcoming suits:
