2K and Marvel Entertainment have unveiled the impending release of the fourth and final post-launch DLC for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Blood Storm, scheduled for May 11, 2023. The game will simultaneously be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as a digital-only offering. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch version will no longer be part of the updated release plans.
The Blood Storm DLC spotlights the formidable mutant Storm and can be acquired either as a standalone purchase or as part of the Marvel’s Midnight Suns Season Pass, included in the Legendary Edition. Each DLC pack introduces a new recruitable hero, a trio of fresh story missions, an Abbey upgrade, and a variety of new skins and outfits for the featured hero.
As one of the most powerful mutants on Earth, Ororo Munroe, better known as Storm, was orphaned at a young age. During her travels to her mother’s home in Kenya, a village priestess took her in. When their village faced a drought, Ororo’s burgeoning powers allowed her to summon the much-needed rain, saving her community.
Eventually, news of her weather-controlling abilities reached Charles Xavier, who recruited her into the X-Men. Adopting the name Storm, she became a leader of the team, using her mutant abilities to help people worldwide. In Blood Storm, Storm encounters Magik while searching for a missing mutant child in New York alongside Wolverine. Magik persuades her to join the Midnight Suns.
The Blood Storm DLC follows the release of three other DLC packs: The Good, the Bad, and the Undead; Redemption; and The Hunger. Each installment introduces new heroes, story missions, Abbey upgrades, and additional hero skins and outfits. For players who successfully complete all the DLC story missions featuring Deadpool, Venom, Morbius, and Storm, an epic final battle against a legendary monster awaits.
