As Pokémon UNITE marks its second year since its 2021 launch, the game continues to expand, reaching over 100 million downloads worldwide. With 56 playable Pokémon now part of the roster, Pokémon UNITE commemorates this milestone by adding Mewtwo, the Legendary Pokémon, and launching a new type of battle, Panic Parade.
Mewtwo is the latest addition to the Pokémon UNITE lineup, available for play now. Notably, Mewtwo has the capability to Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo X during battles, enabling a series of swift and continuous attacks. Players can obtain a Unite license for Mega Mewtwo X at no cost through the ongoing Mewtwo’s Crystal Cave Challenge event.
Looking ahead to mid-August, a Unite license for Mega Mewtwo Y is expected to be available, providing Trainers with further options to play as this Pokémon.
In addition to the arrival of Mewtwo, Pokémon UNITE is debuting Panic Parade, a fresh type of battle. Departing from the standard 5-on-5 battle format, Panic Parade requires players to join forces to shield Tinkaton from waves of attacks from panicking Pokémon. Players can even summon defeated Pokémon for a timely boost in battle. This event will be available across several periods in July and August.
Pokémon UNITE is also launching its 17th Battle Pass, Captain Style: Zacian. The season’s premium pass offers players the chance to acquire the charming Captain Style: Greedent and the noble Captain Style: Zacian Holowear, as well as Captain Set Trainer fashion items. The Battle Pass is available from 21 July to 11 September.
Several other events are also currently running. Starting 21 July, purchases made on Pokémon Center UK will come with an Armor Style: Charizard 1-day Holowear rental code, while supplies last. Simultaneously, a new ranked match season has begun, scheduled to last from 20 July to 11 September.
Moreover, the Pokémon World Championships 2023 WCS Prediction Event gives players an opportunity to forecast the top-ranked teams and earn substantial rewards, including popular Trainer fashion items. The event is scheduled from 28 July to 11 August.
