Mob Psycho 100 follows the story of an eighth-grader called Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama. He has extraordinary psychic prowess, but he soon realizes that his power is a liability. He suppresses his powers and only uses them to impress his longtime crush, Tsubomi, who becomes bored with his antics.
Mob enlists himself under the wing of Arataka Reigen to gain control over his powers. Arataka is a con artist claiming to be a psychic who exploits Mob’s powers for money. Now, exorcising evil spirits on command has become a part of Mob’s daily life. However, the psychic energy he uses is but a drop of water in the ocean. A cataclysmic event would be triggered if his emotions were to go unrestrained. There’s no way to stop the progression toward such an event.
Since 2019, fans of Mob Psycho 100 have been eagerly waiting for the release of season 3. Today, it was confirmed through a teaser trailer that the third season of Mob Psycho 100 is officially in production.
The staff behind season 3 of Mob Psycho 100 include:
- Executive Director: Yuzuru Tachikawa: He is known for his work on popular titles such as Mob Psycho 100, Steins; Gate, and Deca-Dence.
- Director: Takahiro Hasui: He is known for his work on My Hero Academia, Bungou Stray Dogs, and SK∞.
- Series Coordinator: Hiroshi Seko: He is known for his work on Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, and Ajin.
- Character Design: Yoshimichi Kameda: He is known for his work on Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, One Punch Man, and Naruto Shippuden.
- Sound Director: Kazuhiro Wakabayashi: He is known for his work on Ghost in the Shell, Princess Mononoke, and Howl’s Moving Castle.
- Music: Kenji Kawai: He is known for his work on Ghost in the Shell, Ip Man, and Higurashi: When They Cry.
- Animation Production: BONES: They are known for My Hero Academia, Soul Eater, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
What’s exciting is that the main voice actors from the previous Mob Psycho 100 seasons will return to voice the main characters in this last season. The voice actors include:
- Takahiro Sakurai as Arataka Reigen. Takahiro is also known for his roles as Griffith from Berserk, and Giyuu Tomioka from Demon Slayer.
- Setsuo Itou as Shigeo Kageyama. Setsuo is also known for his roles as Kai Musashisakai from Animegataris and Yamada from Itou Junji: Collection.
- Akio Ootsuka as Ekubo. Akio is also known for his roles as Rider from Fate/Zero and The Skull Knight from Berserk.
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Teruki Hanazawa. Yoshitsugu is also known for his roles as Kazuto Kirigaya from Sword Art Online and Souma Yukihira from Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma.
- Miyu Irino as Ritsu Kageyama. Miyu is also known for his roles as Kiritsugu Emiya from Fate/Zero and Minato Namikaze from Naruto Shippuden.
